CHILDREN: Premier League Primary Stars!

>> CHILD 1: This activity is called "one to five score".

>> CHILD 2: And we have been passing and throwing.

>> CHILD 3: And now my throwing is more accurate.

>> COACH: This small-sided game enables pupils to investigate passing techniques. From this, they can select the most appropriate in a given situation. It is a fast-paced game and lots of fun to play. Pupils will learn to demonstrate throwing techniques with accuracy, select appropriate throwing techniques in different situations, describe what happens to the body during a warm up activity, and work with others to improve throwing skills. You will need cones for sidelines, bean bags or balls, hoops, bibs for each team. Okay, guys. This is like a passing game. So you all have a team, we have hoops. They're like the goals. I want to give you a number. Okay, number one will stand here in that circle. Two, come over here, you're gonna stand along that yellow line. So if you are three, you will go to that line. Who's four? Four, go to the top line. And, five... Excellent. One will pass to two. When two gets the ball, three is gonna move and ask for the ball. Three will then pass to four. Four pass to five. And five, you would have to shoot if that goes in the hoop. Brilliant. So that's how you'd score. If you don't have the ball, you've got to keep moving. When you get the ball, stop.

[BACKGROUND MUSIC]

>> COACH: Go for a goal. Once you get to a goal. Okay, it's got to be at least five passes, okay? Use a range of passes.

[CHILDREN SHOUT]

>> COACH: Also, keep looking for different spaces. What type passes were you using and why?

>> CHILD 4: We were using the chest pass. As you know, it's quick and you can get there, and as soon as you get it, run back. I enjoyed it because there was a lot of team work, and, you know, there's quite a lot of shouting. I like to shout.

>> COACH: The next lesson, I'd progress this by adding in defenders and interceptors. To speed up the game, maybe shortening some of the goals, make them a bit smaller for more accurate passes, and hopefully, that would encourage it to be developed and we can put those skills into other games.
