[INTRO MUSIC]

>> CHILDREN: Premier League Primary Stars!

[WHISTLE BLOWS]

>> FEMALE COACH: This activity is called Out of this World.

>> CHILD 1: And we've been learning

>> CHILD 2: to travel in different ways.

>> CHILD 3: And directions.

>> CHILD 4: And it's really fun.

>> FEMALE COACH: These activities have been designed for Key Stage 1 pupils where they can develop, define, and explore different ways of travelling, and they do that based on space. Pupils will learn to travel in different ways with control of their body. They will travel at different speeds, different directions, and on different levels. They will describe why their body gets warmer during sustained movement around the space and finally review a partner's movement and provide verbal feedback.

>> MALE COACH: We're looking for balance. We're looking for the beginnings of coordination and they're fantastic for things like tennis, for volleyball, and badminton.

>> FEMALE VOICEOVER: You will need A5 movement cards, one hoop per four to five pupils, and cones.

>> FEMALE COACH: Pupils will learn to travel in different ways with control of their body. I'm gonna give you a challenge. We're gonna do a warm up, and we're gonna travel like we were in space. Giant steps. Side stepping. Front support, making sure you're on your feet and your hands. And the last one is tiptoeing.

[BACKGROUND MUSIC]

>> FEMALE COACH: Can you get bigger than that?

[MIXED CHILDRENS' VOICES]

[FAST TEMPO BACKGROUND MUSIC]

>> FEMALE COACH: They will travel at different speeds, different directions, and on different levels. Go. Have a quick read of the card.

>> CHILD 5: Space race very fast.

[PIANO BACKGROUND MUSIC]

>> CHILD 6: Moonwalk very slowly.

[MUSIC RESUMES]

>> CHILD 7 + FEMALE COACH: - Go slower. - Go slower.

>> FEMALE COACH: Tell them what they're sprinkling it on. Ah, sprinkled it, so the arms are out. How can you make it so that you're not wobbling?

>> CHILD 8: We can put our arms out.

>> FEMALE COACH: What are your legs doing?

>> CHILD 9: They're stretching.

>> FEMALE COACH: They will travel at different speeds, different directions, and on different levels. You're going to be working as the groups you're now in. I'll select some cards and you will take them to a hoop. Now the hoop is now Earth. You've all got to side step following the leader. Now when Miss Russell yells, "Back to Earth", you've got to get back to Earth as quick as you can and pick the next card. On the floor. Back to Earth!

[CHILDREN SCREAM]

>> FEMALE COACH: Go, go, go. Get home, get home, get home! What am I gonna do here?

>> CHILDREN + FEMALE COACH: - Do this. - Bend your knees.
Bend my knees. Great answer.

>> CHILD 10: Or you could go, boom.

>> FEMALE COACH: I like that, boom with my arms, I could swing my arms.

>> CHILD 11: And then, I went when the leader started.

>> FEMALE COACH: Why is it important for everyone to have a go at being a leader?

>> CHILD 12: Yes, it would be very fair because you have to share things.

[MUSIC RESUMES]

>> FEMALE COACH: That side. You're gonna come back. When that side gets to here, who goes next? That side. Side jumping. So make it a little bit harder. Who's at the front will go together at the same time. What are you gonna do when you meet a person opposite you? How are you gonna get around them? What was going through your head at that point?

>> CHILD 13: You just, you just had to like, just keep looking up and then you just would not bump into anyone. You just need to move out of the way from them and then you'd be fine.

>> FEMALE COACH: The activities are really easy to set up. So the pupils understood straight away what they had to do. It was very good to have their peer review. I enjoyed that bit.

>> CHILDREN: - Be... - Inspiring.
- Be... - Ambitious.
- Be... - Connected.
- Be... - Fair.
