Hi guys. My name is Dan Freedman
and I'm the author of the Jamie Johnson series of books,
which is a series all about a kid who wants
to play in the Premier League.

He wants to be the best footballer in the world.

They've also been turned in to a tv show. If you're watching that I hope you're enjoying it very much.

So I'm here to set this week's Premier League Family Challenge, and as you might have guessed it's got a bit of a writing theme to it.

And the challenge for you is, can you create a character to go into a football story? Because people often say, "Actually, it's not the authors that write stories, but the characters that they create do that for them."

So, can you create a character to go into a fictional football story, perhaps even into the world of Jamie Johnson?

Have a think about what your character's goal is, why they want to achieve it, and what is stopping your character achieving those goals. And what are they going to bring to the story?

You can be as creative as you like, and remember the more detail you can add about your character, the better the story is going to be, the more realistic it is going to be too.
