[INTRO MUSIC]
>> CHILDREN: Premier League Primary Stars!
>> CHILD 1: This activity is called Planet Hopping.
>> CHILD 2: We are learning to jump and land.
>> CHILD 3: And it's really fun.
>> COACH: This activity allows for pupils to practice their takeoffs, jumping, and landing. Pupils will learn to demonstrate and explain jumping for distance, observe, make judgments, and provide feedback to peers. You will need cones and flat markers. Planet Hopping. We are learning the most effective way to jump, two-footed from each spot. And if I'm on this spot, I'm going to turn and look at it, jump with two feet, and land. And we're going to act like a rocket. What do they sound like?
>> CHILDREN: Boom! Boom! Boom!
>> COACH: Well done. Go into the back of your line. Well done. Well done.
[CHILDREN SHOUT]
>> COACH: You've had your go.
>> CHILDREN: Boom!
>> COACH: We're going to make it a little bit more challenging. We're going to make the spots a bit further apart. And we're going to make sure that we're jumping across a longer distance. Are you ready?
>> CHILDREN + COACH: - Yeah. - Off you go.
>> COACH: We want to make sure that our knees are bending and that we are pushing up and across.

[BACKGROUND MUSIC]
>> COACH: How did you stop yourself from falling over?
>> CHILD 4: I used two feet when I landed.
>> COACH: I felt that this activity was very easy to differentiate and there were many different options for me to use. One was to add an extra disc to act as a planet for my children that were less able so that they had smaller distances to jump. And for my more able children, I added a hurdle so that they started to jump higher as well as longer.
CHILDREN: - Be... - Inspiring.
- Be... - Ambitious.
- Be... - Connected.
- Be... - Fair.
