TikTok's star teacher explains how classroom resources can engage young people to talk about discrimination.

For TikTok sensation and teacher Kit Brown, the use of Premier League Primary Stars resources has been invaluable in getting his pupils to talk about discrimination and diversity.

As part of its No Room For Racism Action Plan, the Premier League is committed to using the appeal and reach of the competition and its clubs to assist with the education of young people.

There are now more than 8,900 teachers using Premier League Primary Stars No Room for Racism education resources.

"All the Premier League's resources on anti-discrimination are fantastic," he says. "The lessons where I've based them on Premier League Primary Stars resources have been some of the most powerful lessons that I've had.

"Being a person of colour and now a teacher of colour, having those conversations a lot more and having them in the classroom would have been of so much more benefit to me.

"Not only are [the resources] easy to deliver but they give you that starting point to open up the door to what can be tricky conversations.

"The resources are really fun, they’re really engaging. You get children out of their seat, you get children being creative and you get them to really think about those difficult conversations and how they can apply their values to real life."

As well as the No Room For Racism education resources, Premier League Primary Stars provides teachers in England and Wales access to free downloadable curriculum-linked resources covering English, Maths, PE and PSHE, helping to support children’s learning both in the classroom and on the sports field.
