The Premier League Charitable Fund turns 10!

By Premier League Primary Stars · Tue 01 December 2020

We’re celebrating 10 years of the Premier League Charitable Fund (PLCF), the charity that makes Premier League Primary Stars happen!

Established in 2010, the PLCF uses the appeal of the Premier League and professional football to support communities and inspire young people to achieve their full potential through a number of incredible programmes.

By distributing funding from the Premier League to football club community organisations across England and Wales, the PLCF has worked alongside 110 professional football clubs across the Premier League, EFL and National League. 1.5 million people have taken part in Premier League-funded programmes, including more than 18,000 schools through Premier League Primary Stars!

To celebrate the amazing impact club community organisations have had over the past decade, the PLCF 10-Year Anniversary awards were held from 23-27 November 2020 for clubs to recognise the achievements of people who have made a positive difference to others in their community.

Through Premier League Primary Stars, schools, teachers, children and communities have been supported with free, curriculum-linked resources and meaningful partnerships between schools and football clubs. See the impact that Stoke City Community Trust’s support has had on Lexi, who has increased her confidence in Maths and reading.

You can read Lexi’s story and more about the PLCF celebrations on the Premier League website. You can also explore even more inspiring stories and films from Premier League Primary Stars by visiting The Educatables on our website.
