Club activities

Below is an overview of some of the creative, fun and educational activities that football club community organisations have been sharing to support home learning and keeping children active.

Each week we will be adding more activities from clubs around the country, so please make sure to check back or sign up to our mailing list to be the first to find out.

Blackburn Rovers FC 

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are setting a daily challenge for primary aged children and their families. Here's a great example to put you through your paces with a workout based on your name.

Albion in the Community have a range of fun football-themed learning, from Maths to Health & Wellbeing

Robins Foundation are setting a range of weekly English and Maths challenges on Twitter, as well as fun videos to get children active!

Burton Albion

Burton Albion Community Trust are setting regular challenges. Here’s one example to get children using their imagination.

Cambridge United FC

Cambridge United Community Trust have been posting bitesize English and Maths lessons on YouTube.

Cardiff City FC

Cardiff City FC Foundation have learning content for children in Foundation Phase/ key stage 1 (5-to-7-year-olds) and key stage 2 (7-to-11-year-olds), including everything from English and Maths, to physical activity and wellbeing

Charlton Athletic FC 

Charlton Athletic Community Trust are setting weekly challenges involving physical activity, English and Maths tasks to do from home. Can you complete all the challenges on the Quarantine Bingo card?

Chesterfield FC Community Trust are providing weekly maths challenges. Also check out the Trust’s Twitter to keep up with how their Club mascot, Chesterfield the Mouse, is keeping busy at home.

Crystal Palace FC 

To help children cope with the changes that starting secondary school bring, the Palace for Life Foundation have developed their Team Mates resource and made it available online.

Everton FC

Everton in the Community have launched a series of Maths 'Brain Busters' on Twitter with three different skill levels.


Fleetwood Town

Fleetwood Town FC Community Trust are sharing a range of fun and educational activities via Twitter, as well as showcasing some of the excellent submissions of local children’s efforts as part of the Premier League Primary Stars Friday Family Challenge.

Leicester City FC 

Have you joined in with Leicester City in the Community's online home pack 'Tour de Stadiums'? It contains weeks' worth of fun educational and active challenges as well as Story Time.

Liverpool FC 

Don’t worry if you missed Liverpool FC Foundation’s #BigRedSportsDay, you can still get involved and assess yourself in the different activities.

Middlesbrough FC

In an attempt to help ease common anxieties experienced in the lead-up to the move to secondary school, the Middlesborough FC Foundation are using their Stepping Up programme to answer questions set by local children.

Newport County AFC 

County in the Community is posting weekly Wellbeing Challenges, which involves a range of creative, active and learning-based tasks which include PE, Maths and English activities.

Reading FC

Reading FC Community Trust are setting regular challenges online as part of their Premier League Primary Stars programme. Why not have a go at their commentary challenge, with top tips from BBC Radio Berkshire commentator Tim Dellor.

Shrewsbury Town FC 

Shrewsbury Town in the Community are broadcasting Live Lessons and if you miss them you can still watch them back. Check out this active numeracy lesson ideal for year 3 pupils, that also includes a fitness blast with Club mascot Lenny the Lion.

Southampton FC

Saints Foundation have created online English and Maths lessons, as well as fun workout videos to keep children active in body and mind!.

West Bromwich Albion FC 

The Albion Foundation has a range of PE and physical activity tasks to help children to get active and develop skills.
