Active learning resources that use Premier League player statistics to help pupils develop key maths skills.

Summary

Using the appeal of Premier League player statistics from Adrenalyn XL cards, these resources supported by Panini get pupils out of their seats to actively apply key maths skills.

Aligned to the national curriculum, year 3-4 pupils are helped to quickly recognise differences between numbers, while year 5-6 pupils calculate factors, identify prime numbers and carry out mental calculations of different kinds.

Pupils (years 3-4) will be able to:

  • find the differences between numbers
  • justify and explain using mathematical language
  • demonstrate fair play and good teamwork.

Pupils (years 5-6) will be able to:

  • perform mental addition
  • solve comparison, sum and difference problems
  • identify factors, multiples, square and prime numbers
  • demonstrate fair play and good teamwork.
