We want you to think like a young referee and analyse the timelines of real-life Premier League football matches. In this pack, children will practise calculations involving time and learn how to convert between hours, minutes and seconds.

Everyday numbers challenge

The Everyday numbers challenge encourages you to think about all the numbers that are a part of your day.

Go on a number hunt and make a note of the daily activities which involve numbers. Fill in the Everyday numbers timeline. Get creative and add pictures to your timeline, or you could even make a collage.

There are two templates for you to choose from. (If you don't have access to a printer, have a go at drawing the timelines and send a photo.)

Time to get up!

Can you check your understanding of calculations involving time by making three different football match timelines?
You will first need to make time and match event cards by writing on pieces of paper or printing off the ones made by us here:

- Timeline cards
- Match event cards

Then using the instructions on the activity sheets, add the key match events along the timeline and answer the questions.
