Summary

This pack looks at star qualities in sports stars as a starting point for pupils to consider the skills and qualities they may need to become a reading ambassador for their own school.

Pupils will be able to:

  • identify some of the key qualities and skills of being an ambassador
  • identify some key reasons why reading for pleasure is important
  • present a short speech effectively for a younger audience
  • write an informal and persuasive blog entry
  • write a formal book review.
