The Premier League Primary Stars team has selected some fun English resources to be used at home. Some of these challenges have been made in partnership with the National Literacy Trust. 

• Home/School - World Book Day challenge - Pupils will pick their best five-a-side team and justify why they make their starting line-up.

  

• Home/School - Story setting challenge - Take part in the writing challenge set by author Ben Dean in support of the Rainbow Laces campaign.
  
  
  
• Home/School - Celebration challenge - This pack includes reading and writing challenges set by top authors from the world of football and sport, including Paul Cookson, Venessa Taylor, Kwame Alexander, Sharna Jackson, Charlotte Browne and Matt Oldfield. 
  
  
  
  
• Home/School - Dream challenge - Take part in the challenge set by author, Priscilla Mante.
  
  
  
  
• Home/School - Quiz masters challenge - We're celebrating World Book Day with the National Literacy Trust and top football authors Alex Bellos and Ben Lyttleton. Take part in this fun and exciting challenge to create your own multiple choice quiz!

• Home/School - Character building challenge - Create a character using the role on the wall technique and then share them with us! 
  
  
  
  
  
• Home/School - Stay connected poem challenge -  Write poems and stay connected in your community. Take part in the challenge for a chance to win a Premier League Writing Stars poetry book, Try, Try Again. 
  
  
  
  
  
• Home/School - 2020 Complete the speech challenge  - See if you can complete the speech in football author, Tom Palmer's comic strips.
  
  

• Home/School - 2020 Create a character challenge - We have teamed up with the National Literacy Trust and author Dan Freedman to bring you the Create a character challenge. We want you to create your own fictional character that could be part of a really fun football story or part of the world of Jamie Johnson, the main character in Dan Freedman's book series. 
  
  

• Home/School - Connecting generations  - This pack aims to encourage families to write a letter to an older relative, friend or neighbour to encourage conversation and to promote positive relationships. Use this pack to support you with writing your letter and let us know how you are staying connected.  This pack includes three exciting challenges from the 2020 Weekly challenges: Share a story, My Inspiration drawing challenge and the Get in touch challenge. Can you complete them?
  
  

• Home/School - 2020 The Premier League Five-a-side reading challenge - Encourage children to pick a book to read using the 'five finger' rule. Once you have chosen a book as a family using the 'five finger' rule, we would like you to draw a picture of your favourite character.
  
  

• Home/School - The 2020 Premier League Writing Stars poetry challenge - Get writing together at home and take part in this fun poetry challenge. We want children and families to write poems about 'ambition', and send them in to be showcased on the Premier League website. Use our videos and resources to help you get started.

• Solve, Shoot, Score - Can you spell correctly to score past Premier League goalkeepers? Try our interactive football-themed game with quick-fire spelling questions
