The Premier League Writing Stars poetry competition is back!

By Premier League Primary Stars · Mon 03 February 2020

The audio transcribed version of the film is also available.

The Premier League is once again using the appeal of football to inspire primary school children across England and Wales to pen a poem, this time on the theme of ambition.

One school who really enjoyed being involved in last year’s competition was St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in London, whose pupil Minudi was highly commended by the judges for her poem on diversity.

Hear Minudi’s poem about her diverse friendship group and discover how taking part in the competition benefited the whole school. You can also find out why teacher Vicky Brooks will be encouraging her pupils to write poems for the Premier League Writing Stars competition again this year.
