Benefits of physical activity

The KS1 activity is a simple resource to be used alongside the teacher presentation. Pupils will draw or write about a physical activity that they enjoy and write about how they feel after doing it and consider the reasons why they felt like that.

KS2 pupils will fill in the table and list eight different ways that physical activity can improve their positive 'sense of wellbeing'.

Find the benefits

Pupils will play a physical activity where they will move from one side of the room to the other and in doing so will understand the benefits of physical activity on their mental wellbeing.

Use the resource sheets to set up the activities. There are two versions of this activity and is to be used alongside the teacher presentation.
