This film demonstrates all three activities in this pack in action. Pupils will develop their ready position, and move in different directions while keeping good control of their body.

Warm-up: Sports photographer

This is a fun warm-up for all pupils, which requires no equipment. The pupils play in pairs, moving around an imaginary court, getting both mind and body ready for the activities that follow.

Skill development: Get steady

In 'Get steady!' pupils work on the skills of holding a balanced ready position, as well as travelling in different ways and different directions with good body control. These are all used in a variety of net and wall sports including tennis, table tennis and squash.

Game: Ready steady go!

This game is a fun challenge that gives pupils an opportunity to practise their ready position and movement skills around court in a larger space.

Cool down: Walk and talk review

In the 'Walk and talk review', the pupils cool down while they self-review their learning, exchanging ideas with a partner.
